Are you looking for a small preschool that will focus on your child's needs? Do you want to start out small to help your child transition into meeting other children their age? Has your child been at home with you or grandparent's since birth? Our program is perfect for you! Gifted Stars Early Learning Academy's primary goal is to make learning for ALL ages both non-intimidating and FUN! We accomplish this by encouraging laughter, bonding and provoking smiles. We strive to give each child in our care a solid and well-rounded skill foundation to help prepare them for a strong beginning in primary school. Our program is truly unique and different from most small based child care centers in the area. We are a junior kindergarten starting at the age of 6 months - 6 years old. We offer weekly themed lesson plans, sign language, a STEM curriculum, Spanish, outdoor yoga, cooking classes, field trips, healthy & organic based snacks, daily sanitation, arts and crafts and an aromatherapy environment. Our preparatory kindergarten readiness curriculum has been created by our owner by blending collaborative learning, discovery specials/life skills, NC standards and STEM into a comprehensive half day preschool program.

Horton Learning Experience
Outdoor Play
Children have the opportunity to go outside each day (weather permitting). Over the summer we travel to local parks for field trips.
Arts & Crafts
Arts and craft activities are necessary for young minds to explore and express themselves! Our students participate in daily arts and craft activities that align with our weekly curriculum and theme. At the end of each semester we have an art show for students and their families to attend and showcase their art work.
Toddler Sign Language
Our daily sign language addition has been perfect for many families. Sign language helps your child communicate at such a young age. If you have specific questions about day-to-day activities or the program timeline, simply get in touch!
STEM Curriculum
Our small preschool like structure is STEM ready. Our curriculum is a kindergarten preparatory. Our learning community is where your child will be using critical thinking skills, fostering independence, cooperation & communication skills, hands on learning and literacy and number concepts.
Meals Included
Our half day weekly tuition includes healthy and organic based breakfast. A sample breakfast at our preschool is fresh fruit or applesauce, gluten free pancakes, sugar free syrup, and almond milk. Parents provide an afternoon snack/lunch.
Field Trips
As our newest and most popular addition to our schedule. We take our toddlers on a monthly fun-filled learning field trip. Sometimes the kids just need a change scenery and what better way than an exciting field trip with friends. Some trips have been the Museum of Life & Science, the farm, pumpkin patch, movie theater etc. (Due to Covid-19 we have limited our field trips. We currently only take 2-3 field trips that are primarily outside)

Our Story
At Gifted Stars Early Learning Academy Preschool, we’re proud to provide a caring and safe environment for your children. Our junior kindergarten preschool operates Monday through Friday from 9:00am-1:00pm. It is a separate after school program available from 12:00pm until 4:00pm that isn’t part of our program. To cooperate with NC state licensing requirements for half day programs, a child can only be enrolled in ONE of the programs. We prepare all of our preschoolers for kindergarten. Our preparatory kindergarten readiness curriculum has been created by our owner by blending collaborative learning, discovery specials/life skills, NC standards and STEM into a comprehensive half day preschool program. We have 3 classrooms, our 6 month-1 year old class, 2/3 year old class, and 4/5 year old class. Our chief executive director and founder of Gifted Stars Early Learning Academy, Ms. Jasmine has devoted years supporting the early learning and development of children ages 0-13 years old. She is also a mother to her 6 year old and 2 year old daughters. She is not your ordinary child care provider. By following our mission, vision and values, we create a nurturing, stimulating and welcoming learning environment for all children. We provide our students with the tools they need for future happiness and success. Our Owner & Director loves the fact that we are small and constantly reaching toward our goals of expansion in the future for our community.
Ms. Jasmine has dedicated her life to enrich the comfort and development of young children and support to families in need. She remains abreast of the best and modern practices in early care and education. Our unique programs incorporate a variety of educational theories, while always keeping the child’s best interests in mind and allowing for hands-on, experiential learning. Gifted Stars Early Learning Academy Mission
Gifted Stars Early Learning Academy’s mission is to provide a safe, warm, clean, loving and small environment for children. As well as a carefully crafted junior kindergarten curriculum that will prepare preschoolers (ages 6 months - 6) for kindergarten.
Our goal is to make learning for all ages fun and non-intimidating by encouraging laughter and provoking smiles. Our goal is to give each child in our care a solid and well-rounded skill base to help prepare them for a strong beginning in grade school.
Daily sanitation & Covid Precautions
At Gifted Stars Early Learning Academy, we’re proud to provide a safe and sanitized environment for all students. Our facility is professionally disinfected for Covid-19 and RSV weekly. Our teachers also disinfect the classrooms, toys, desk, and miscellaneous items thoroughly on a daily basis. Temperatures are checked at the front door at arrival for students and parents and again for students during the school day at 11:00am and sent to parents in their parent app.
New Programs

Separate After-school
Depending on your family’s schedule, the new After-school Program might be the right fit for you. This is for ages 0-6 years old and is separate from the half day preschool program. It is not associated with the preschool and children can not attend the morning program with this, only one program can be enrolled into. No matter what your child needs, this program will provide the support and tools necessary for optimal growth and preparation for the grade school schedule as an after school. We will operate on a regular After-school schedule from 12:00pm-4:00pm Monday through Friday.
