Ms. Jasmine Horton

Owner & Director

Our chief executive director, owner, and founder of both Gifted Stars Early Learning Academy & Gifted Stars Early Learning Academy Preschool, Jasmine Horton has devoted years supporting the early learning and development of children ages 0-13 years old. She is also a mother to her 6 year old & two year old daughters and she is not your ordinary child care provider. She believes that a child’s early years are the most important years for their future success. She loves the fact that we are small and constantly reaching towards our goals of expansion in the future for our community.
Ms. Horton has dedicated her life to enrich the comfort and development of young children and support to families in need. She remains abreast of the best and modern practices in early care and education.

Ms. Copeland

Floater/Substitute/Assistant

Ms. Copeland is our floater and extra set of hands. She is currently studying Early Childhood Education

Ms. Ameerah

Assistant Director & 4/5 year old teacher

Ms. Ameerah graduated from NCCU and has been working with kids since she was 18 years old. She plans to create the classroom as a place to open up and enjoy learning new things.

Ms. Kalin

1 year old teacher

Ms. Kalin obtained her Early Childhood Credentials from Durham Tech. She has been working in childcare since she was 11 years old. She strives to make her classroom an inviting place where students can love learning.

Ms. Temekia

2/3 year old teacher

Ms. Temekia is our 2/3 year old classroom teacher. She has years of experience with children. She has kids of her own and had a passion for 2-3 year olds specifically. She enjoys preparing our younger students for our kindergarten prep classroom.
